A smooth, flat herringbone chain with a liquid-gold look, and one that genuinely lies flat rather than twisting itself into a rope by lunchtime. Plated in 18k gold, 3mm wide, with a secure lobster clasp.

At 36.5cm it sits neatly at the base of the neck and looks lovely over a crew-neck jumper, which most necklaces can't manage without disappearing. The 8cm extender is the longest we make, so it drops for an open shirt too.

Beautiful with the Ava bracelet (the same chain, worn on the wrist) for a set that looks deliberate.

Made to be worn, not saved for best, so you don't have to treat it like a newborn. It will stay looking better for longer if you keep it away from chlorine, water, lotions and perfume where you can: put it on last and take it off first.

Pieces with stones (Polly, Opalite and anything with a stone charm) are more sensitive to chlorine and water, so take those off before swimming, hot tubs or the bath.

Store it in the pouch it came in, and give it a gentle wipe with a soft cloth if it needs a refresh.

I’ve basically had this on since it arrived. It sits nicely and doesn’t twist up. I’ve had cheaper chains before and they go dull quickly, but this hasn’t (so far anyway).
